France coach Didier Deschamps has explained ignoring Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti for his latest squad.
Deschamps insists Umtiti didn’t deserve a place.
He explained: “He has little time right now.
“I do not know exactly the complications with his knee but today Clement Lenglet and Presnel Kimpembe give me more guarantees at the moment.
“But Samuel remains Samuel, he needs to be in full possession of his means and this is not the case for the moment. It is a more delicate period for him.”
