Clarin says United will face competition from Barcelona for Martinez.
United have identified Martinez as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who left for Inter in the summer.
But it’s claimed Barcelona are also keen on the Argentine forward.
Martinez’s deal with Inter carries an €111m buyout clause.
