Spain U21 coach Luis de la Fuente was pleased to work with Barcelona whiz Ansu Fati.
De la Fuente was given the chance to call up Fati to his U21 squad for the first time during this international break.
“He’s very calm, I wanted to make it normal for him for all the following that he had,” De la Fuente said.
“We’re very happy with him, we’re predicting a fantastic future for him but he needs this calmness that will do him a lot of good.
“He’s a lad with outstanding talent and he’s very humble.”
Fati, who is just 16 years old, is being carefully managed by Barcelona and De la Fuente believes this is the right approach to take.
“I’ll know how to handle it very well,” De la Fuente said.
“He needs to be calm, I know that he has expectation [on him] and he has to go step by step, not going up six stairs at a time.”
