Atletico Madrid captain Koke insists there’s no grudge against Antoine Griezmann.
The attacker left Atletico for Barcelona in a record €120m deal this summer. However, there’s claims Griezmann and Barca were in contact before the date when his buyout clause was due to fall from €200m to €120m.
Koke told Marca: “A lot of players, not just Griezmann, are definitely in touch with other clubs. I do not know if it’s true or if they talked before or after this date.
“I have no idea, but if it’s true, maybe it was not done well. But everyone can do what he wants in his life. I can only thank him for the five years he spent here when he gave everything when he was on the ground. I do not have much else to say.”
