Cristiano Ronaldo: 2018-19 UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season – Forwards

The UEFA Nations League winner with Portugal also won his first Serie A title with Juventus…

Juventus FC frontman Cristiano Ronaldo bettered his all-time top scorer’s record in the Champions League to 126 goals, as well as scoring more goals in the knockout stages (65) than any other player.

Following a summer move from Real Madrid to Juventus, where he won Serie A and the Italian Super Cup, he scored 6 goals and made 2 assists in 2018-19 UEFA Champions League.

The 35-year-old makes age look like a mere number, the way he puts up ageless performances and continues scoring spectacular goals.

Ronaldo overturned Atletico Madrid‘s 2-0 win with an incredible hat-trick in the second leg of their Round of 16 clash and scored in both the quarter-finals against Ajax but of which was not enough to reach the last four.

The Portuguese scored his first Champions League goal for Juventus against his former club Manchester United with a first-time shot beyond a strartled David de Gea at his near post. In the next Group H game, he would unlock the Valencia defense with slick footwork to gain half-a-yard on Gabriel to help Mario Mandzukic score the winner. Before moving out from the group stage, Ronaldo set up Paulo Dybala in the 2-1 defeat against Young Boys.

Cristiano Ronaldo deserves a spot in the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season.
