Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has confirmed Lionel Messi can leave for free at the end of the season.
It’s emerged this week that Messi’s contract carries a break clause for the end of every campaign where the Argentine can leave for free.
And Pique confirmed the news last night.
“I already knew that Messi could leave for free at the end of each season. We know Leo’s commitment to Barça and I’m not at all worried.
“He had the chance to decide his future,” the defender told El Larguero.
