Bayern Munich chief Rummenigge hits out at LaLiga spending

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has hit out at the spending of the LaLiga.

Rummenigge has slammed Barcelona for spending €120m on Antoine Griezmann and Atletico Madrid for paying the same amount for Joao Felix.

“The market has changed completely,” he told Bild.

“What causes me concern is not only the amounts for a transfer; 100 or 120 million euros are no longer spectacular. I am much more worried about the salaries that are being paid, especially in Spain, England and Italy. The trend is going towards paying net salaries. We have to be careful not to destabilise ourselves.

“For example Griezmann, millionaire salary of two players a year at net. All this must be multiplied by two since the club is responsible for paying taxes.

“Bayern will not participate in all these crazy things.”
