Barcelona have announced the resignation of general manager Pep Segura.
Segura made the decision after the appointment of Patrick Kluivert as new academy chief.
His departure will see sports director Eric Abidal step up to inherit his responsibilities and report to president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
Barca announced today: “FC Barcelona and Josep Segura have reached an agreement to terminate his contract with the club.
“FC Barcelona publicly expresses its gratitude to Josep Segura for his commitment and dedication and wishes him good luck and success in the future.”
