Singapore is all set to get a taste of the ‘explorer’ spirit with the four-day Allianz Explorer Camp Football Edition Asia 2019 due to get underway on July 23.

The Explorer Camp is an initiative by Allianz which aims to bring together teenagers from around the world and pushes them to discover their true potential by cultivating new skills, mindsets and confidence.

The various editions of the Explorer Camp cater to a wide range of interests from climate to football and ultimately aim to celebrate the spirt of youth along with a commitment towards their future.

It is a part of Allianz’s commitment to unearth the leaders of the next generation through a series of activities on and off the pitch that exalt the ‘explorer spirit’ among the youngsters of the world.

Allianz is a name that needs no introduction in Asia where they have been present since 1910, providing fire and marine insurance in the coastal cities of China. Allianz Asia Pacific’s footprints have been increasing ever since with the company now employing more than 32,000 people while serving over 18 million people in more than 14 countries.

With the ultimate aim of establishing Asia as a significant contributor to the group, Allianz Asia has embarked on an ambitious growth plan for the region with a deep focus on digitalization.

Going above and beyond its commitment towards supporting diversity, raising awareness about pertinent social issues and educating the future generations, Allianz has strived to forge partnerships with various sports teams, cultural figures, organisations and educational programs who share the same values.

One such proud partnership for Allianz is its collaboration with Bundesliga behemoths FC Bayern Munich that led to the establishment of the Allianz Explorer Camp Football Edition Asia 10 years ago.

Since then, the Football Edition has emerged as a key driving force for Allianz in Asia with over 300 teenagers from more than eight countries having participated in multi-day football camps across different regions of the continent.

While football is the unifying factor that brings together young explorers from around the world for the Football Edition, it is not the only activity on offer for participants in the Allianz Explorer Camp Asia this year.

The participants can now expect a highly diversified program which will not just be limited to the football pitch. While they will be trained under the watchful eyes of renowned FC Bayern Munich coaches during the football camp, they will also get a chance to try their hands at the exciting Drone Racing League (DRL) while also undertaking a Next Generation Drone Workshop.

The young explorers will also get the opportunity to experience Singapore’s latest wonder – The Jewel at Changi Airport. To promote the spirit of diversity among the young children, they will also get a chance to participate in an intercultural night during the four-day camp.

To top it all, the young explorers will also rub shoulders with former FC Bayern Munich stalwart Ivica Olić who scored 23 goals for the German club in 80 appearances between 2008 and 2012.

The success story of the Allianz Explorer Camps in Asia has been overwhelming to say the least so far and another important chapter is now set to be added with the upcoming four-day camp in Singapore.
