Barcelona captain Messi warned: Apologise or face massive ban

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has been urged to apologise to CONMEBOL for his Copa America blast.

After Argentina again failed in this summer’s tournament, Argentina skipper Messi leveled corruption allegations against the federation over the officiating.

There are now threats of Messi being hit with a two year ban for his outburst – and he’s been warned CONMEBOL aren’t treating the claims lightly.

“I would suggest to Messi to apologise because they are going to shake him with the sanction. The AFA should go out and tell him to apologise for what he said,” said Gustavo Abreu, and Argentine lawyer and member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS).
