With 10 minutes before kick-off, let’s take a look at the team news – starting with Jamaica!

USA have won the Gold Cup six times, four behind Mexico in second place. It’s an impressive record with two triumphs this decade, but El Tri – who have beaten United States 4-2 and 5-0 the last two times they met in the final – await the winner.

United States progressed past Curacao with a 1-0 victory after topping a group with Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and Panama. They’ve not looked a cohesive unit quite yet at the 2019 Gold Cup, but without a goal conceded and 12 scored in four matches, their results speak for themselves.

Jamaica are looking to make their third-consecutive Gold Cup Final but will have to beat United States tonight in order to do so. These two have squared off twice before in the last two tournaments, sharing the spoils with one win each. Jamaica were able to win in the 2015 semi-final before losing to Mexico at the final hurdle, while the US exacted a measure of revenge and won the 2017 title decider 1-0.

Theodore Whitmore’s side enter this stage on the back of a 1-0 victory over Panama thanks to a penalty with a quarter of an hour remaining. It was only their second win in four matches at the Gold Cup – and their first since their opener against Honduras. With two goals in their last three, they’ll be looking to keep it tight and nick a winner.

Good evening and welcome to our live commentary of the Gold Cup semi-final between Jamaica and United States!
