USA started their Women’s World Cup in sublime fashion with a stunning 13-0 win over Thailand and will be looking for another strong victory against Chile on Sunday.

After laying down a marker with the biggest ever World Cup win just a few days ago, USA will be out to back that up with another convincing scoreline against the side ranked 38th in the world.
These two countries played each other twice in September, with Ellis’ side strolling to 3-0 and 4-0 wins, and evidently the favourites are unlikely to have their work cut out to secure another comfortable victory.
Chile held out until the 83rd minute against Sweden but that was largely down to a series of fine stops from goalkeeper Christiane Endler, with her defence repeatedly broken down by the Blagult.
