Valencia chief Mateo Alemany says Rodrigo Moreno will only leave for his buyout clause.
Barcelona are interested, although a buyout clause of €120m is likely to put the Spanish champions off.
“The phrase that a footballer plays where they want to has a certain weight to it,” Alemany explained.
“Rodrigo is a very important player for Valencia, but in the hypothetical case of an offer for a player who may wish to leave, you have to consider it, and that is the case for every single club with any player.
“The message from the club is that he has a buyout clause and we’re calm.”
