Cameroon international Ajara Nchout was on target as Valerenga pipped Trondheims Orn 1-0 in Wednesday’s Toppserien encounter.
Going into the clash, Monica Knudsen’s ladies earned a 1-0 win over Arna-Bjørnar and were aiming to extend their good form away from home.
Having gone into the break with the score at 0-0, it was Nchout’s 87th-minute goal that helped the visitors claim their fifth win of the season.
The 26-year-old Cameroonian has now scored three goals in five matches this season for Knudsen’s side.
Her strike against Avaldsnes gave her the Goal of the Week faward.
The win at Orn Arena moves Valerenga to second on the Norwegian top-flightstandings with 16 points from six games.
They will welcome leaders Lillestrom at Intility Arena in their next league top-flight encounter on Sunday.
