Sejdini elected in FYR Macedonia

Muamed Sejdini is the new president of the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM).

Sejdini was elected at the weekend’s general assembly in Ohrid, and will serve a two-year term at the helm of the national association in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. He was previously FFM vice-president, and has been acting president for the past eight months.

The new FFM president thanked delegates for the trust shown in him. “It is a great honour to be the [association] president,” he told delegates at the assembly, “and I sincerely hope that we will work together to create a better future for our football.”

“We will do our utmost to achieve the goals of the association’s strategic plan, which means full support from the FFM for national teams, municipal football associations, domestic competitions, infrastructure improvement and youth football development.“

“I would like to express my gratitude to UEFA and FIFA, and I hope that we will be proud of a series of joint projects in the future.”
