Patrice Evra claims that Paris Saint-Germain have lodged a complaint to UEFA for celebrating Manchester United’s Champions League on Wednesday night.

The former United defender was in jubilant mood in Paris as the Red Devils produced an incredible 3-1 victory over the Ligue 1 side.

Evra was alongside the suspended Paul Pogba in the Parc des Princes stands, with both France internationals delighting in United’s victory.

The 37-year-old received some criticism in his homeland for cheering against the Parisians, but he is unashamedly loyal to his former employees.

Evra posted a video on Instagram, with Edith Piaf’s song ‘I Regret Nothing’ playing.

‘Thanks Edith,’ said the Frenchman. ‘I will now lower the volume because it’s a great moment in the history of football.

‘PSG filed a complaint against me to UEFA for my celebration during PSG-Manchester.

‘And people ask me: “Patrice, what do you risk?’ I don’t know man… Maybe they’ll change the code on my iPhone so it will be stuck?”‘

Earlier this week Evra posted another Insta clip explaining why he behaved as he did in Paris.

‘The whole match there was a well-dressed guy in a suit, sitting behind me and Paul, yelling “Ici c’est Paris!” and constantly looking at me,’ Evra explained. ‘I didn’t say anything until the game finished, when I recorded a video in which me and Paul were yelling “Ici c’est Manchester!” as revenge.

‘The French press thinks I’m an enemy of the state for rooting against PSG. Yellow jacket protests? My fault. PSG’s elimination? My fault. The French press is too focused on my celebrations, but I don’t care.’
