Report: New England Revolution to offer big wages for Stoke City’s Bojan

TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

The New England Revolution have again been linked to a move for Stoke City’s Bojan Krkic, with The Sun‘s Alan Nixon in England indicating that the Potters could let the Barcelona product leave on a free transfer.

To entice the attacker commonly known only as Bojan, the Revs would seem likely to sign him to a Designated Player contract. The salary figure quoted by Nixon is just under $65,000 per week.

The 28-year-old forward/winger has considerable pedigree, having made more than 100 La Liga appearances with the Barca first team before stops at Roma, AC Milan and Ajax.

He then went on to score 14 goals across his first three Premier League seasons at Stoke City, but his departure on a free transfer would be permitted to allow welcome salary relief for a club now in England’s second flight, the League Championship.

The Revs were previously linked to Bojan last summer, but nothing came of it.
