Dortmund ‘agree’ to Ligue 1 loan for Shinji Kagawa

Shinji Kagawa could be on the move this month after Bordeaux reportedly agreed a deal to sign the midfielder.

Borussia Dortmund are happy for Kagawa to leave the club for regular playing time.

So far this season, the 29-year-old has made just one Bundesliga start and that came way back in September. Since then he has been limited to one substitute appearance in the league.

With Lucien Favre deploying Marco Reus behind the striker, opportunities have been scarce and Kagawa will need to leave if he wants to play this season.

According to BeIN Sports, Bordeaux have made the most of the situation and agreed a six-month loan deal with the Japanese international.

However, Kagawa is yet to give the move his approval. The attacking midfielder almost joined Sevilla at end of the summer and is said to prefer a move to Spain over France.

Bordeaux are currently 13th in Ligue 1 and are looking to add creativity to their squad this month having scored just 20 times in the opening 18 games of their league campaign.
