Manchester City have coasted through the group stages of the UEFA Champions League and have reached the Round of 16 without much trouble.
Pep Guardiola’s team finished top of their group with 13 points from six matches. Four wins, a draw and a loss meant that the Citizens progressed comfortably without any drama.
They scored 16 goals in the six matches and one of the vital factors behind that display was English forward Raheem Sterling.
He has scored a goal and has contributed an assist but his impressive displays have allowed the other forwards to roam free and increase their potent threat.
Sterling has also created three big chances for his teammates and generally has been a thorn in the opposition defences. His performances will be vital for City in their Round of 16 clash against Schalke 04 in February.
