International Roundup: Kamara helps Norway gain promotion in Nations League

Ola Kamara enjoyed a big day for his country as his brace helped Norway gain promotion into the UEFA Nations League Group B.

The LA Galaxy striker was responsible for the only two goals in a 2-0 victory over Cyprus on Monday, using his speed and poise to get wide open in front of the net for both.

With the win, Norway finished atop a group that also featured Cyrpus, Bulgaria and Slovenia.

Elsewhere in Nations League competitions, Philadelphia Union midfielder Borek Dockal and Real Salt Lake midfielder Albert Rusnak lined up opposite each other as Dockal’s Czech Republic picked up a 1-0 win over Rusnak’s Slovakia side. The result relegated Slovakia from League B to League C.

And San Jose’s Vako started up top to help lead Georgia to a 2-1 win over Kazakhstan. Georgia easily finished atop their group in League D to earn promotion to League C.
