More misery for Thierry Henry as Edinson Cavani hat-trick and Neymar penalty see champs ease to victory

MONACO saw more va-va-VAR than va-va-voom as Thierry Henry’s winless run stretched to SIX games.

A rampant Paris Saint-Germain eased to a 4-0 victory, with Edinson Cavani scoring a hat-trick courtesy of the video assistant and Neymar converting a spot-kick.

Thierry Henry suffered his fourth defeat in six games as Monaco managerIt was Henry’s fourth defeat since taking charge at Stade Louis II last month and moments such as this must see him question his choice.

VAR did save Monaco from even more humiliation as a slick goal from Julian Draxler in first-half injury time was ruled out for offside.

For Henry, fans on social media were already questioning whether he could survive after having little impact on this struggling side.

The only saving grace is that goal difference prevents his team from sitting bottom of Ligue 1 – but there was little more to smile about for the former striker.

Champs and league leaders PSG tore through the ex-Arsenal man’s defence with ease.

Within 11 minutes, Cavani had already put the visitors out of sight with two clinical strikes.

It got even worse for Henry just minutes into the second-half as Jordi Mboula was stretchered off in tears after pulling up with a hamstring problem.

Former Monaco man Kylian Mbappe saw a fifth ruled out for offside by VAR, but the young Frenchman won the penalty that allowed Neymar to get the fourth.
