Under-19 Futsal EURO – Draws

The qualifying draw for the first UEFA European Under-19 Futsal Championship, streamed live at 14:00CET on Thursday from Nyon, will consist of two rounds.

  • Hosts Latvia receive a bye to the finals
  • Of the 34 qualifying entrants, the 26 with the highest UEFA futsal national-team coefficients receive a bye to the main round and the other eight enter in the preliminary round.

Preliminary round (21–26 January)

  • Two groups of four will be formed: the two group winners progress to the main round, which will be drawn in the same ceremony.
  • Lithuania will host one of the mini-tournaments, the other will be confirmed by 9 November following the draw.
  • Teams will be split into four seeding tiers of two teams each based on their coefficients.
  • Lithuania will be placed in the third position in Group A (according to their coefficients) from Pot 1. The teams will then be drawn by seeding tier.

Main round (26–31 March)

  • Teams will be split into four seeding tiers according to their coefficients (with the two preliminary round winners included in the fourth tier).
  • Russia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, FYR Macedonia and Finland have been selected as mini-tournament hosts and will be drawn first from Pot 6, to be placed in each group according to their seeding position.
  • The remaining teams will be drawn by seeding tier.
  • Based on decisions taken by the UEFA Executive Committee, these teams cannot be drawn into the same group: Russia/Ukraine, Kosovo/Serbia and Kosovo/Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • In order to avoid a prohibited clash in the main round, should Ukraine be drawn into the group hosted by Russia, they will be moved to the next available slot.
  • Should Kosovo win their preliminary round group and qualify for a main round group with a team they cannot play, they will be swapped with the next available team in position 4 following the order of the groups.
