UEFA.com picks out some high ownership and under-the-radar Fantasy options ahead of matchday three.
GOALKEEPERS
Popular pick
Ederson (€5.5m) vs Shakhtar Donetsk (A)
Although his ownership is dropping after failing to keep a clean sheet in the first two matchdays, Ederson remains the highest selected goalkeeper. Manchester City’s domestic form will certainly give Fantasy owners some confidence ahead of a potentially tricky trip to Shakhtar Donetsk though, as Josep Guardiola’s men have not conceded in their last five Premier League outings.

Potential differential
Iker Casillas (€5.5m) vs Lokomotiv Moskva (A)
Casillas is a viable differential option for Group D leaders Porto. Travelling to Moscow is never easy, but the Portuguese champions have conceded just once in their last five matches in all competitions, while Lokomotiv have lost their first two games.

DEFENDERS
Popular pick
Joshua Kimmich (€6.0m) vs AEK (A)
Kimmich’s ownership remains high despite Bayern’s patchy form so far this season. The German giants have not kept a clean sheet in their last five matches in all competitions, and if they fail to do so against AEK on matchday three, Fantasy owners may well begin to lose patience. However, Kimmich has registered two assists in domestic action to date and always carries the threat of attacking returns.

Potential differential
Andy Robertson (€5.5m) vs Crvena zvezda (H)
The Scottish left-back has been one of Liverpool’s strongest performers this season and has helped his side keep clean sheets in six of their nine Premier League matches so far. Robertson is also capable of Fantasy points at the other end of the pitch, shown by his assist in the matchday one victory over Paris, so he is one to look out for as the Reds host Crvena zvezda on Wednesday.

MIDFIELDERS
Popular pick
Philippe Coutinho (€8.5m) vs Internazionale (H)
In the midfield department, the Brazilian features in over a third of Fantasy teams and that is likely to remain the case especially given Lionel Messi’s recent injury. Coutinho’s creative spark will be even more fundamental to Barcelona’s approach in the Argentinian’s absence, and he’s in the kind of form to produce the goods against former club Internazionale. With a goal and an assist in the matchday two win at Tottenham, plus a Liga strike against Sevilla on Saturday, Coutinho is poised to reward his owners once more.

Potential differential
Cengiz Ünder (€7.0m) vs CSKA Moskva (H)
Roma host CSKA Moskva on Tuesday and Ünder will be hoping for a similar performance to that of his matchday two display against Plzeň. The Turkish winger scored and provided two assists in the 5-0 win, making him one of the highest scoring Fantasy midfielders; with an ownership level of just 2%, he could be a shrewd investment in the differential department.

FORWARDS
Popular pick
Kylian Mbappé (€10.0m) vs Napoli (H)
In Lionel Messi’s absence, Mbappé will be the highest-owned forward featuring in matchday three, and for good reason. The French youngster has been in devastating form this season, scoring 13 times in 12 appearances for club and country – including goals in both UEFA Champions League matches – so it wouldn’t be surprising to see him continue his hot streak on Wednesday.

Potential differential
Roberto Firmino (€9.5m) vs Crvena zvezda (H)
The Liverpool frontman was afforded a rest for the majority of the weekend Premier League win at Huddersfield but will be expected to return to the starting line-up on Wednesday for the visit of Crvena zvezda. The Serbian outfit conceded six times at Paris in their last UEFA Champions League outing, so Firmino – already off the mark in this season’s competition – is fancied to be amongst the goals here.
