The Eagles come into this game in fine form following a comfortable 4-1 win over Hannover, and after victory away at Olympique Marseille a fortnight ago, Adi Hütter’s side will spy a great opportunity to take a big step towards the knockout rounds. Jetro Willems is suspended following his red card on Matchday 1, meaning Evan Ndicka could deputise once more, while Timothy Chandler and Carlos Salcedo miss out with injury. Marco Fabian was not included in Frankfurt’s European squad for the group stage so will play no part either, but Sebastien Haller and Ante Rebic are set to lead the line again after impressing against Hannover.
Lazio and their supporters are in need of a boost, as they come into the match on the back of a derby defeat to city rivals AS Roma. Simone Inzaghi’s side were 2-1 victors over Apollon Limassol in Europe two weeks ago, but they do not have the greatest of records in Germany, with just one solitary win. Ciro Immobile, last season’s Serie A top scorer and formerly of Borussia Dortmund, will lead the attack for Lazio, while Milan Badelj, once of Hamburg, could anchor the midfield. Left-back Jordan Lukaku is absent with a knee injury in Inzaghi’s only injury concern.
