Striker Majeed Waris is delighted to have played a key role in Nantes’s first league win of the season on Saturday.
The Ghana international was named in the starting line-up in the 3-2 win at Strasbourg.
Striker Ludovic Ajorque gave Strasbourg the lead in the 21st minute but a Stefan Mitrovic own goal drew Nantes level.
In added on time of the first half, Waris provided the assist for Lucas Evangelista to score to make it 2-1 for the vistor.
By the 59th minute, Emiliano Sala had given Nantes a two-goal lead before Nuno Da Costa pulled one back for Strasbourg.
