Chelsea’s Maurizio Sarri insists that Newcastle is a tough place to pick up points and questions why Rafa Benitez set his team out so defensively.

Alejandro Moreno and Gab Marcotti question if Chelsea are better off without Alvaro Morata in the lineup as his struggles continue.

Elseid Hysaj’s agent has said the Napoli right-back is “delighted” to have stayed at Napoli rather than join Chelsea.

Hysaj, 24, was among the Napoli players tipped to follow former boss Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge this summer. However, his agent, Mario Guffredi, insists the Albania international does not regret the move failing to materialise and is excited at the prospect of working with Carlo Ancelotti.

“Not going to Chelsea? Hysaj is delighted to have stayed,” Guffredi told CalcioNapoli24. “He has a great desire to be coached by Ancelotti.”

Guffredi also confirmed that he is planning talks with Napoli over a new contract for Hysaj.

“He is a smart lad and knows he can improve a lot under Ancelotti,” the agent added. “In the next few weeks, we will talk to the club about a contract renewal.

“It is in Napoli’s interest to renew. Hysaj was born in 1994 and is one of the best in Europe.”
