What is the UEFA Super Cup?

The Super Cup is an annual showpiece contested by the reigning champions of the two main European club competitions – the Champions League and the Europa League.

Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1 to lift Europe’s top prize last season while Atletico Madrid got the better of Marseille to claim the Europa League title.
