Ligue 1 Pair Keen On Landing Rangers Striker

Two sides from the French top flight are interested in landing Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.

Ligue 1 pair Bordeaux and Rennes are in the market to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes on 31st August and their attention has turned to Scotland.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Bordeaux and Rennes are firm fans of Morelos and an attempt to take him to Ligue 1 could be forthcoming soon.

Rennes even considered moving to sign Morelos from Rangers in the January transfer window, but eventually settled on Diafra Sakho, who joined from West Ham United.

Morelos was in action for Rangers on Sunday in their Scottish Premiership opener against Aberdeen, but was sent off in the first half after an off the ball incident.

It remains to be seen how Rangers would react to receiving a substantial bid for Morelos from France.

However, Gers boss Steven Gerrard could opt to let the Colombian go and sink the cash into securing a replacement.

Morelos scored 18 goals in all competitions for Rangers last season.
