Cristiano Ronaldo completes first day of preseason at Juventus

Having touched down to sign his papers and undergo a medical a week or two ago, Cristiano Ronaldo finally underwent his first official day as a Juventus player on Monday.

The Portuguese superstar, who completed a €100 million move from Real Madrid, completed his first day of preseason after being granted an extended break following his involvement at the World Cup and then undergoing a personal mini-tour of China.

By the looks of things, Ronaldo arrived bearing gifts for his new teammates, clutching a plastic bag that we choose to believe was full of fridge magnets, novelty pens, key rings and other chintzy souvenirs from his summer holiday in Greece.

The 33-year-old was then put through his paces, donning a Bane-esque face mask as he set about plotting the demise of Batman doing a few fitness tests on the treadmill.

Ronaldo also bumped into a few of his new colleagues, removing his shirt to greet Paulo Dybala for the first time and watching on in admiration as Douglas Costa took his turn on the Bane test.

Gonzalo Higuain also dropped by to say hello before the striker leaves Juve for pastures new at some point over the next few weeks — with reports suggesting a season-long loan to AC Milan is imminent.

And that was pretty much that. Perhaps not the most hectic first day in a new job ever undertaken, but still a decent chance to get a feel for the place and the people Ronaldo will be working alongside for the next few years.

Still a little bit strange seeing him in a Juventus shirt though, isn’t it?
