LaLiga president Tebas happy to go to war with France’s Ligue 1

LaLiga president Javier Tebas is happy to go to war with France’s Ligue 1.

Nathalie Boy de la Tour, the president of the Ligue de Football Professionnel, hit out at her LaLiga counterpart Tebas over comments he made about Paris Saint-Germain’s spending, but the Spaniard is not backing down.

Tebas remains angry over the way Barcelona lost Neymar to the French giants last summer.

“I will reply and say that I have no problem about showing and explaining the Financial Fair Play tricks of PSG,” Tebas said in response.

“It surprises me that a league as serious as the French one wouldn’t have noticed the problem, that is strange to me.

“All of the leagues are responsible for protecting the interests of European football.

“The anti-competitive practices of PSG put at risk the balance of our industry.

“If it is considered that my statements are defamatory then let them report me as soon as possible to that I can prove in front of the courts that what we are saying is true.

“As for the accusations about putting pressure on UEFA, they should inform themselves about who really puts pressure on UEFA.”
