Revolution’s Juan Agudelo: Loss to LA Galaxy “one of the worst” at Gillette

When the clock struck 90 at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night, the New England Revolution were administering a 2-1 lead against the visiting LA Galaxy in their Week 20 matchup.

Just three minutes into stoppage time, that 2-1 lead turned into a 3-2 loss and one that Revs forward Juan Agudelo calls “one of the worst” he’s experienced at the club’s home field.

Head coach Brad Friedel called the loss “heartbreaking” and “sickening” and made it clear that the Revs were the better side.

New England still find themselves in the playoff zone in the Eastern Conference in 5th place on 28 points with a big three-game road trip coming up against Minnesota United, the New York Red Bulls and Orlando City.
