Adrian Heath doesn’t hold back after Minnesota nearly let another lead slip

It wasn’t the sort of reaction you’d expect from a manager after a home win.

But Minnesota United’s Adrian Heath was visibly agitated during his Week 20 postgame press conference, lamenting that his team allowed a 3-0 lead turn into a 3-2 nailbiter at home against Real Salt Lake.

It was especially irritating for Heath since it came just days after his team was forced to cling to a 4-3 win against Toronto FC after being up three goals.

“We did our best to throw it away – 75 minutes of good work – by people deciding that they know best, that they’ll do what they want rather than doing what we know is right,” he said.
