The Montreal Impact have made an offer to acquire Argentine defensive midfielder Franco Zuculini from Italian side Hellas Verona, according to Cesar Luis Merlo of Argentine TV channel TyC Sports.
Zuculini could also be set to return to Argentina, with Colon also making an offer, Merlo reports.

The 27-year-old Zuculini has spent the past four seasons in Italy, two each with Bologna first and then Hellas Verona, and one season of Serie B followed by one season of Serie A with each.
Prior to that, the product of Argentina’s Racing Club has also had stints in La Liga with Real Zaragoza and the Bundesliga with TSG Hoffenheim, as well as an early, abbreviated stint in Seria A with Genoa.
The move would fit Montreal’s pattern of regularly signing players from Bologna. Both clubs are owned by Joey Saputo.
The Impact also previously signed Romanian center back Deian Boldor from Hellas Verona, though Boldor completed less than a full season in Montreal.
