Fulham celebrate their victory over Aston Villa and resulting Premier League promotion by lifting the promotion playoff trophy at Wembley.

Tom Cairney’s first-half goal proved enough as ten-man Fulham hung on for a 1-0 win to beat Aston Villa and return to the Premier League.

Fulham have completed the signing of Jean Michael Seri from Nice on a four-year deal.

The Ivory Coast international’s arrival can be considered a huge coup for the newly-promoted Cottagers given he almost joined Barcelona last summer — and was a target for Chelsea this time around.

Fulham confirmed Seri had signed a four-year contract, with the club holding the option to extend it by a further 12 months.

“I’m ready to get started and looking forward to meeting the squad and getting to know them, the head coach and his staff better,” Seri said.

“I’m delighted to be here, it’s a new adventure that starts for me and I’m hoping it will all go well.”

Fulham vice-chairman Tony Khan was overjoyed with the new addition, adding: “I’m delighted to announce that Fulham Football Club has signed midfielder Jean Michael Seri from Nice.

“Jean Michael arrives with Premier League qualities as well as great promise for the future, which is why he has been at the very top of our target list for a long time.

“So, this is a big day for everyone associated with Fulham and working at Motspur Park, and I trust all Fulham supporters are collectively as thrilled and ecstatic as we are that Jean Michael will be joining our squad as we return home to the Premier League!”

Seri, 26, joined Nice from Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira in 2015 and helped the Ligue 1 club mount a surprise title challenge in his second campaign.
