Liverpool FC could still sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon in the summer transfer window, according to Dharmesh Sheth.

The Reds were heavily linked with a move to sign Fekir in recent weeks but a deal failed to come to fruition due to complications with his medical.

Indeed, Liverpool FC were rumoued to have agreed a fee with Lyon before Fekir jetted over to Merseyside to undergo a medical.

Fekir was even reported to have selected his shirt number at the 18-time English champions before concerns emerged surrounding a prior knee problem.

Liverpool FC attempted to renegotiate a deal with Lyon but the two parties couldn’t agree to a revise transfer fee.

Sky Sports News reporter Sheth refused to rule out Liverpool FC signing Fekir from Lyon before the summer transfer window closes on 9 August.

“Liverpool’s move to sign Fekir could be back on we are told,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to secure their continued participation in the Champions League.

The 18-time English champions are keen to secure Fekir’s signature ahead of the close of the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old scored 18 times and made eight assists in 30 appearances in the French top flight last season.
