Bayern Munich have reportedly made Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir a major transfer target in the current window.

The Bavarians are looking to strengthen in the off-season, having failed to match their Bundesliga title triumph in the UEFA Champions League, where they crashed out at the semi-finals after losing on aggregate to eventual champions Real Madrid.

The German giants, who will next term be led by manager Niko Kovac, are now believed to have earmarked French midfielder Fekir as an ideal candidate to improve the squad after the 24-year-old’s impressive showings for Lyon in the 2017/18 Ligue 1 campaign.

Fekir bagged an impressive 23 goals and eight assists in 40 appearances in all competitions last term, although Bayern are expected to face a host of competition for the playmaker’s signature.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is said to be a keen admirer of the Algerian, while Atletico Madrid are also believed to be monitoring the forward’s situation in France.
