Serie B playoffs postponed as Bari face points deduction

The Serie B promotion playoffs have been postponed by a week because Bari could be deducted two points on Friday.

Bari were due to host Cittadella on Saturday, with Perugia playing at Venezia the following day.

But if Bari are stripped of two points by the Italian federation for irregular payments, Cittadella would get the home advantage for the playoff match.

The league says both playoff matches will be played on June 3 and the first legs of the semifinals will be played on June 6, with the return matches on June 10.

Frosinone will play either Bari or Cittadella, while Palermo will face either Venezia or Perugia.

The two-legged final will be played on June 13 and June 16, with the winner to join already-promoted Empoli and Parma in Serie A next season.
