Wenger to reach 250 games as a UEFA competition coach – UEFA Europa League – News

The second leg of Arsenal’s UEFA Europa League semi-final against Atlético could be Arsène Wenger’s last European game in charge of the club, the 68-year-old having confirmed that he will leave the Gunners this summer.

It will also be his 250th match as a coach in UEFA’s club competitions – a total which, like his UEFA Champions League tally of 202, only former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson can beat.

However, Wenger may not like to read that he is the only man in the top ten in terms of coaching appearances in the six UEFA club competitions* who has not won a major European trophy – a status he could change if Arsenal reach the UEFA Europa League decider in Lyon!
