Monaco star Thomas Lemar ‘verbally abused in car park by own fans’ amid poor form following Arsenal interest

THOMAS LEMAR suffered the wrath of Monaco fans after another poor performance yesterday.

Following a disappointing season for the French outfit, Monaco could only manage a goalless draw with Amiens which left fans fuming.

Thomas Lemar could be set to leave Monaco in summer transfer window

The unsettled French international has made no secret of his desire to move to the Premier League and has Arsenal and Liverpool waiting in the wings.

But this has not sat well with fans, who took the opportunity to berate the 22-year-old as he made his way to his car following yesterday’s fixture.

The midfielder was reportedly the main target of the verbal abuse, thanks to his drop in form since he was linked with a move across the channel.

Fans congregated outside the stadium and reportedly dished out some home truths to their side who have suffered a fall from grace since they were crowned Ligue 1 champions last year.

It will reportedly cost any Premier League club a pretty packet if they are to prise him away from the Ligue 1 outfit.

But both Arsenal and Liverpool may now reconsider their position following Lemar’s recent form.

His future with Les Blues may too be under threat.

With Dimitri Payet flying high for Marseille, Lemar’s spot in the French world cup team doesn’t look as certain as it once did.
