MESGO graduates enhance skills – UEFA.com

UEFA’s Executive Master in Sport Governance (MESGO) education programme continues to enhance the management skills of professionals in European and world sports organisations.

The fourth edition of the programme culminated in a graduation ceremony at the House of European Football in Nyon, where the 16 participants from international sports federations and other sports-related organisations received their graduation awards.

MESGO’s fourth edition comprised nine sessions spread across 18 months, with sessions taking place over three continents – in Paris, Nyon/Lausanne, Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Barcelona, Mainz/Frankfurt, New York and Tokyo.

MESGO has been a vital catalyst in providing a source of learning, training and personal development, as well as contributing to the further development of sports bodies throughout this continent and beyond.

The programme, which covers a wealth of sporting, political and economic issues related to sport and its many facets, is supported by various academic institutions around Europe

Speakers at the latest graduation ceremony included UEFA deputy general secretary Giorgio Marchetti and Jean-Christophe Breillat, president of the CDES law and sports economy centre at Limoges University in France.

They were joined by Shiva Keshavan who represented India in the luge event at six Winter Olympic Games and was the first Indian to win international medals in a winter sport.

“MESGO is a highly acclaimed, exclusive programme for sports industry leaders who wish to strengthen their strategic thinking in the evolving world of global sports governance,” said Marchetti, “and to access a unique network of influential business experts.”

The fifth MESGO edition will kick off in Paris in September.
