Tottenham are in talks with defender Kyle Walker-Peters over a new deal, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.
Full-back Walker-Peters only signed a contract at Tottenham last August just days after making his Premier League debut on the opening day of the season against Newcastle.
He still has two years to run on his current contract, but Spurs want to reward him for his progress in breaking into the first team with a new improved deal.
The 21-year-old has gone on to make eight appearances for Spurs this campaign and is highly regarded by Mauricio Pochettino, who is eager is ensure Walker-Peters continues his development under his guidance.
After helping England win the Under-20 World Cup last summer, he has also broken into the England under-21 side this season.
He is behind Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier in the pecking order at Tottenham, but Pochettino has high hopes that the youth product can become a mainstay in the first team for years to come
