Team of the Week presented by Audi: Tomas Martinez leads the way in Week 7

Road teams found considerable success in Week 7, and that was reflected in the Team of the Week presented by Audi.

Eight of the players selected in the XI played on the road this week (New York City FC played two games, one at home and one away), and four members of the Team of the Week bench were away from home. Among the highlights were a 2-0 win for LAFC in Vancouver, a 2-0 win for Orlando City in Philadelphia, and a 1-0 win for FC Dallas in New England.

Audi Player Index Spotlight

The spotlight player this week is Houston Dynamo midfielder Tomas Martinez, who scored a goal and assist in a 2-2 road draw against the San Jose Earthquakes. Martinez earned the Audi Player Index Performance of the Week, as he notched 1,343 points, best in MLS. In addition to his goal (280 points), he tabbed four successful take-ons for a 100 percent success rate, for 140 points.
