Cristiano Ronaldo made his 150th UEFA Champions League appearance in Real Madrid’s quarter-final second leg against Juventus.

Ronaldo’s debut in the competition proper – he previously appeared for 32 minutes of a 2002 qualifier for Sporting CP – came on 1 October 2003 in Manchester United’s 2-1 group stage defeat by Stuttgart. He went on to rack up 52 appearances for the Red Devils, lifting the trophy in 2008, and has since amassed 98 in Real Madrid colours, claiming three titles.

The forward’s four UEFA Champions League final wins are a record he shares with Andrés Iniesta and Clarence Seedorf, and there are plenty of other marks he holds outright, including his unmatched tally of 119 goals.

We examine who is still ahead of Ronaldo in the all-time list of appearance makers and break down his current haul of records.
