Transfer Talk – Man United mull Paul Pogba Anthony Martial swap for Neymar

Clubs are slowly turning their eyes toward the summer window, and Transfer Talk has the updates on all the latest rumours.

Man United to propose mega swap for Neymar

Despite his double to inspire Manchester United to a 3-2 fightback victory in the derby against City, Paul Pogba is being linked again with a move away from Old Trafford — this time to Paris Saint-Germain, rather than to the Etihad.

Only now, United want Neymar in return, should the Ligue 1 giants push for Pogba and his France international colleague Anthony Martial, according to the Star.

United would still have to add cash into the deal to land the Brazilian, with the report suggesting a further £50 million would go along with the star duo.

Only last year did PSG put up £200m to bring Neymar to the French capital from Barcelona, but failing to settle has sparked talk of a departure already.

Leicester saga with Mahrez resurfaces

Leicester are eyeing a £17m move for Norwich star James Maddison, with the likelihood that Riyad Mahrez will depart this summer.

Maddison, 21, has shone for the Canaries this term, scoring 14 times and assisting 10 more in all completions.

The Foxes would likely be prepared to go above the aforementioned price, claims the Sun, as they expect a massive fee for the Algerian winger with Manchester City likely to return after a failed move in January.

Tottenham and Huddersfield will compete with Leicester for Maddison, though Claude Puel’s side are the front-runners.

Chelsea close in on Allegri to replace Conte

Chelsea appear to be closing in on Massimiliano Allegri as their new manager, with Antonio Conte set to depart this summer, as Juventus have already begun plans to hire Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane as his replacement.

The former Bianconero is under intense pressure at the Bernabeu and might need to win the Champions League to save his job.

The Old Lady could reunite with Zidane to pave the way for Allegri to move to London, reports the Express — with Arsenal also keen on his services.

Both the Blues and Gunners also have been linked with Luis Enrique, who will return to the game after a year’s hiatus following his time at Barcelona.

Tap-ins

– Manchester City will secure Pep Guardiola on a new deal that will make the Spaniard the highest paid manager in the world on £20m per year, or £385,000 per week.

The Mirror reports the 47-year-old will extend his deal until at least 2020 after masterminding the Blues’ title charge this season.

– West Ham are scouting Ryan Fredericks with the 25-year-old set to become a free agent this summer following Fulham’s push for promotion to the Premier League, says the Mail.

The Hammers took in the right-back’s performance versus Leeds midweek, with Swansea and Southampton also interested.

– More from the Mirror, who suggest Newcastle are ready to hijack Everton’s move for Besiktas star Oguzhan Ozyakup, with the Turkish midfielder set to become a free agent this summer.

The former Arsenal starlet could reunite with striker Cenk Tosun after his £27m move to Goodison in January, but Rafa Benitez’s side have begun talks to beat out the Toffees, Gunners and West Ham for the 25-year-old.
