Mbappe, 19, helped PSG go 17 points clear of his former club with two goals against Angers on Tuesday night.

Since the injury to Neymar, Mbappe has stepped up in the forward position in recent weeks.

But he could not affect the game as PSG were knocked out of the Champions League last week.

However Mbappe had a reason to be smiling as he was called up once again for France’s internationals with Colombia and Russia later this month.

Angel Di Maria also looked like he was trying to give Marco Verratti a kick up the backside as he channelled The Karate Kid.

The former Manchester United man swung a boot in a joking manner at the Italian while boss Unai Emery looked calm despite the questions about his future.
